nope, i'm just very short.

so whats happening with this obd stuff then. when i plug it in it keeps telling me car is not obd compliant? thats using vag-com.

I presume you have the drivers set-up and vag-com connected to the correct port? Do you have the ignition key in the on position when trying to run it? Also it may be better to use the second option, the auto scan thingy.

lol no the felicia is not OBD II compliant, it should work with the PROPER vagcom cable ok but wont work with an obd II cable

If it uses k-line (or whatever it's called) the ebay vag-con 409.1 shareware version cables should work I'd have thought?!

Mine works fine with a serial VAG-COM cable bought on eBay, but as Jim says, it's not OBD-II

The wonders of "standardisation" where the regulating body is a) clueless and B) weak.

yeah it uses a single K-line with kwp1280 protocol, version 3.11 is enough for a felicia, but as said above it isn't OBD2

yea i got this one

http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/USB-409-1-KKL-VAG-COM-OBD-2-II-VW-AUDI-SKODA-SEAT-Cable_W0QQitemZ190329451002QQcmdZViewItemQQptZUK_Diagnostic_Tools_Equipment?hash=item2c5084f1fa#ht_3943wt_991

i tried it with 409.1 and 311.2 when i click obd it says not compliant, when i click on individual scan like 01 - engine it times out.

i've tried lowering the baud rate in device properties.

if it is not obd compatible what is it i can read with this cable?

i'm going to try the cable on a vw T4 and see if cable works there.

thanks.
