Hi.

Have fitted towbar electrics to vRS estate, am now advised that I need to upgrade the relay in the dash.

Does anybody know an approx price and where to get one? I don't really want to go back to the dealer and get ripped off.

Cant remember the price, but the dealer is probably the best place to go as the relay unit is in the hazard switch assembly. If memory serves well, it isnt that expensive.

(the relay unit is the whole hazard switch unit. Simply pop it out, unplug the loom then plug in loom to new unit and pop it back into the dash.....5 minutes)

why would you need to change it?

Increased current load (due to extra indicators and audible indicator) progressively burns out the contacts in the relay, apparently. Sounds plausible, flashers have been dodgy since I used the trailer.
