Major headache

Featured Replies

OK guys got a major headache this week.

My passengers side door wont open. I belive its deadlocked shut!!

Ive opened up the drivers door and checked the convinience module and all looks well, tis bone dry. So my question is how can I open the deadlocked door without using a an irish spanner :)

Cheers guys

common problem witht hese buddy

remove the handles 2 screws amd the little speaker cover

you then need to pull the door card off wich will break the plastic clips ( £2.50 skoda)

once removed you then have o literally smash the old motor off from the inside to get to the mechanism once there you have to fiddle with the bars to pop the door open once open 2 screws holdong the last of the mechanism on then replace with new motor £80 skoda

Cheers buddy ill give that a go tonight

As you will know, the door trim, "clips on" at the top, so pull of off around the sides/bottom, to break the fixing where the torx screws are, and then lift up.

Don't forget to unclip the cable to the light in the bottom of the door trim too.....
