Power folding wing mirrors

Featured Replies

Does anyone know if it is possible to have the wing mirrors fold in electronically? - is this called power folding wing mirrors?

I'm still awaiting delievery my vRS estate and I don't think they come with electric folding mirrors - can these be added/retro fitted/

Thanks,

Fraser

You're right, the vRS doesn't come with electric folding mirrors and they're not even an option  A recent thread on this subject reveled that it was apparently not possible to retrofit them. That said, if you've got the inclination anything's probably possible.

Cheers Sarge - I'm sure the New Zealand vRS brochure shows them folding.

Why is every country different!!

standard fit in the european market (see skoda-auto.com)but in general its being drop across the range over her in the UK (most likely cost cutting).

I would guess anything is possible with the right amount of skill, know how and money.

When I was looking at this after they were taken off of my car I found a motor and wires that could be bought for an aftermarket upgrade, however it all looked a bit dodgy and it depends how much hacking about of your door you want to do on your brand new car! They certainly weren't Skoda parts!

Hi, could be standard over there as I seem to remember seeing an Australian brochure showing them as standard. Would be much simpler if everything was available everywhere!
