Jabbasport RARB

Featured Replies

Ordered a Jabbasport RARB on Saturday and can't wait till i get it. Was trying to decide between Whiteline and the Jabba bar, but went for the jabba bar as everyone that has one seems pleased with it, wheras some weren't too pleased with the whiteline.

Anyway i was wondering if there is anything i need to know before fitting the bar, and any advice will be greatly appreciated.

Bend the brackets to the shape of the rear beam first, does stiffen the rear up nicely!

Increases the chance of 'lift off oversteer' if you overdo your corner entry speed.

...if you enter the corner like a complete hamfisted hooligan....

Increases stability all round B) Just removes that unerring feeling of "What the hell?" when cornering. I do find a bit of lift off oversteer helpful when on track, as long as it is not snappy, but gradual.

Absolutely. I wouldn't be without one.

Simply the best suspension mod for the fabia.

I found only if the strut brace was fitted at the front. With just the RARB its alot more settled in the corners.

Simply the best suspension mod for the fabia.

Agreed

I know it's an Ibiza rather than a Fabia, but I found change somewhat over-hyped

You will be wondering why you didn't fit a RARB before.

Must be Ibiza's it doesnt work on fella, I fitted one and yes I noticed a change in handling characteristics, however to say like some have said its the best suspension mod etc, makes me wonder what suspension mods they have!

They've got "Auto emocion" that makes them handle better :D

Haha, wouldnt go that far, maybe its just the drivers ;)

Are you talking about a strut brace or anti-roll bar? Strut brace makes virtually no difference. ARB makes a vast difference. I have fitted Whiteline ARB's to Ibiza MkIV, Fabia I, Fabia II and also to my Octy II vRS. In all cases the difference was VERY noticable. The Whiteline on its stiffest setting will turn an Ibiza from a terminal understeerer to something in which oversteer can easily be provoked. The 'medium' setting it the best all round. If you can't feel the difference, you can't drive!

Id imagine we are talking about the anti-roll bar, as its a anti-roll bar thread tbh :D

Thanks guys, got home from work the day and fitted the RARB and it has transformed the handleing. Thanks for all the info, made it so much easier to fit.
