Turtle Wax Shapoo - opinions?

Featured Replies

Hey folks,

As I have mentioned once or twice emoticon-0105-wink.gif I diamondbrited my car. I am coming to the end of my diamondbrite supplied shampoo.

I do however from when I still had my old faithful Peugeot have a shed load of TurtleWax standard shampoo - the stuff from 3/2 at halfords in the big old white bottles, red cap etc.

Whats the general opinion on this stuff, is it any good, does it streak on new cars etc, don't want to bugger up all my hard work using aggresive/inferior products.

This isn't a launch into "I only use shampoo made from unicorn secretions at £40 per ml and a 15 bucket wash method" by the way emoticon-0100-smile.gif

P.S. The typo in the subject is obviously to see who's on the ball ;)

Turtle Wax stuff is decent quality. Better than Fairy Liquid at least.

If you have plenty of it then use it, key thing is to ensure your using the 2BM when washing and I am sure it will be fine.........

I thank you gents, reply appreciated. 3 litres of Zip Wax to go :)

Whats wrong with fairly liquid? I find that and a brillo pad bring the paint work up brilliantly ;)

I think a lot of shampoos of the genre like the Turtle Wax one are a bit of a false economy. I need a tiny amount of Megs Gold Class shampoo to get a half a bucket of good lathering suds that would require loads of cheaper car shampoo, which offsets the purchase price difference.

Megs stuff smells awesome too.

Lol almost! Next I will have Babs on here telling me it will give a rubbish finish on my car because I should't have bought a diesel :)

Im currently using Megs NXT shampoo , but before I could get that locally I used the Turtle Wax stuff all the time on my cars , and I liked it. It gives plenty of suds and lasts ages , and I would happily use it again!

I like the turtle wax heavy duty car wash stuff, cleans really well.

This makes a lot of sense. No point having "unicorn secretion" shampoo and then using a poor technique.

What are you using as the next step? Are you polishing or anything else??

turtle wax shapoo! is this a new product out, ive been searching halfords for it and cant find it????????????? :giggle:

Amazing, it's only taken almost a month for some smart arse to point out my typo :)
