Weird internet/keyboard problem.....

Featured Replies

Bit of a strange one this, but i'm have a very odd problem on my home Dell computer that i'm hoping somebody may know whats going on.....

My keyboard is not working properly when using the net, for instance when on google, facebook or even on briskoda, when typing, some of the keys are not working: Mainly the top row of numbers; 1 to 0 though sometimes it's just the number 0 that does not work, or just some of the letters and the other day the whole keyboard would not work. Now here's the weird thing, even when i'm having these issues, the keyboard works absolutely fine when doing emails, or using word and other documents etc :S it's just in internet browsers i'm having troubles........... I've tried both Firefox and Google chrome and i'm getting the issue using both - i haven't tried IE though yet.......

Anyone got any ideas what could be causing this? I've done an online virus scan on the Panda website to double check i've not got a virus and all appears to be ok....

Any help appreciated.

Cheers

In the absence of an IT pro - have a look at region/Language in control panel - set it to English(UK) .MS stuff always assumes that you're a Yank - one way to tell is if you try to type in "@" and get something else -like "..

The numerical keypad on the right of the keyboard all works fine, but numbers four, seven and zero of the top row of numbers do not but yet they all work fine in word or anything else...... :S

Getting really annoying as sometimes other keys stop working randomly too...... Heeeeeeeeeelp.........
