THANKS TO THE MEMBERS THAT HAVEPOSTED VARIOUS PROBLEMS WITH THEIR YETIs, IT HELPS THE TECHNICIAN TOSHOW SKODA THAT THERE ARE AFEW ISSUES WITH THE YETI, AS THEY SAY THAT THEY ARE NOT AWARE OF PROBLEMS BLAH BLAH, MY YETI WILL BE GOING IN NEXT WED.

MY ISSUSES ARE

FUMES COMING INTO THE CABIN AREA

CLONCKING FROM ENGINE BAY WHEN COLD

ALARM GOING OFF, WHICH THE TECHNICIAN HAS TRACED TO SOME SENSOR TO DO WITH THE DOOR LOCK,WHICH WILL BE RECTIFIED WITH A NEW DOOR LOCK

LEAKING FUEL CAP

ENGINE STALLING AT LOW REVS

LACK OF POWER WHEN COLD

CREAKING DASH.

ALTHOUGH MINE HAS AFEW ISSUES AT THE MOMENT, I WOULD NOT BE WITHOUT MY YETI,AND I KNOW THEY WILL BE RECTIFIED, THANKS TO THE KNOWLAGEABLE AND ENTHUSTIASTIC TECHNICIAN AT DAVIDIAN SKODA,MORECAMBE,WHO I WOULD RECOMEND FOR THEIR SALES AND SERVICE,THAT YOU GET FROM A FAMILY OWNED DEALERSHIP. MY CRACKED WINDSCREEN GOT CHANGED AFTER A 3 WEEK WAIT,WITH A GENUINE SKODA GLASS, WHICH THE AUTOGLASS GUY SAID THEY NOW HAVE A SPARE NOW AT THEIR PRESTON BRANCH, JUST INCASE........!

Got mine from David Ian too - very good they were too.

Glad to say mine has been fault-free !

Hi shyfly,

while mine was in, the dealer fixed two more rattles one somewhere in the dash on the nearside and a sensor under the 'bump' in the centre windscreen vent was found to be loose.

They also adjusted the back hatch as it had moved slightly and was catching the bumper again nearside corner. Left a small scuff mark on the bumper and took some paint off the bottom edge of the door which I touched in.

Oh also have noticed on the very odd occasion rattles or clunking from the engine when cold on start up, think it's coming from one of the components driven by the alternator belt.

Hope that's of help to all.

Fumes in the cockpit sounds like the 'V' band clamp on the turbo again

Regards,

TP

I was waiting for the joke at the end about my snow chains.

Very sorry to read of all these problems that seem to suggest something is seriously wrong in the quality control department.

interestingly - seeing a post about a Bright Red Yeti - I was watching our local Postie deliver today - up and down farm tracks, mud and muck and steep gradients galore and I THOUGHT

Why does the Post Office not start using Yetis as their chosen transport?

I'm glad that Briskoda has been very useful to you, but you don't have to SHOUT all about it using CAPITAL LETTERS. Please when you next post, make sure the Caps lock is off.

Just to let all know I have adjusted the title of one of my posts in the Tech Guide, so if you have a problem with a known outcome you can drop it in there. My link

Regards,

Pat
