Right over the last few years I've got a bit lazy and not done much to my own cars, getting into the habit of taking things to the dealer for the stamp etc etc

I have a fabia VRS and the other half has a 1.2htp which have needed a fair bit of work doing to them over the past month or so. But the prices I was being quoted gave me a bit of a shock so I decided to get back into the habit of doing stuff myself.......................

The guides and info I've found on here have been really helpful and as a result I've saved an absolute fortune by a bit of DIY, so a big to people on here.

What have you had a crack at?

console bushes, oil + filter changes, temperature sensor, starter motor, brakes+handbrake, plugs/coils, air/cabin/fuel filters, cleaning throttle + buggering about with EGR valves, vacuum unit, leaky rear door seals, diagnostics, cleaning/waxing/polishing + touching up the little scuff marks+the best stuff to use to clean the seats up. And I even got some cheap axle stands and a trolley jack after a heads up on here. And I even learnt some new swear words for when things went a bit wrong.

If I had half your skills I'd have saved myself a fortune.........
