Wedding Tomorrow

Featured Replies

In a bid to save cash son of step asked me to do the wedding photos about 12 months ago, well the day arrives tomorrow :o :o

Equipped with a D80, sb900, 30mm f1.4, 50mm f1.8 and 85mm f1.8 and either a monopod or tripod should be fun!!

Swmbo has made and decorated the cake and we have made a start getting everything ready in the function room, so will post more photos later but here are a few feeble attempts so far, getting used to this behemoth of a flash :)

Best wishes and all that - but I hope he's not getting married in lace-trimmed lederhosen :o

The Groom is wearing football shorts, socks and boots and looking at his watch. He's on a road to nowhere methinks.

Good luck with the shoot.

Loads still to go at, the bride and groom haven't seen any of them yet so Comments and criticism more than welcome!

Well that was fun :S

I would probably not show the bride and groom 1 and 3 at least to start with. In one she has her eyes closed and in 3 the downcast look (with no eyes) could be mistaken for sadness.

The basic rule - no eyes no photo. Obviously rules are made to be broken but start with that at least.

I really like two maybe just a bit more contrast and have a look to see what it would look like without the tattoo (Photoshop is your friend). I know that she has a tattoo and obviously had it visible during the wedding but with just the top showing it's a little distracting.

Well done mate.

Bridesmaid's cute :p

you could do a bit of photoshopping on the tats.

Looking good Andy.

Thats a very important job on a day a big as that, hopefully the Bride & Groom will be pleased, those taster shots do look great

Thanks everyone, unfortunately I have been told the bride likes her tats so they are meant to stay, I have removed them form one or two and will give her both with and without so if she decides she would like them removing later it isn't a problem, she is family now after all ;) Also played around quite a bit in photoshop to give her various choices of effects, high low contrast etc so again if she likes a particular style then

:whew: The bride as just left and is as pleased as punch with the photos I have shown her, she is going to go through them at leisure and decide if there are any she wants 'touching up' or which she would like enhancing and how saying that she really likes both the pop effect and the darker moodier shots, some are to be displayed in a digi photo frame and some for a physical album. She as also asked if I would mind if her maid of honour asked me to do the photos at her wedding as well so who knows B)

That 1st atmospheric shot looks amazing  great pics

Good work Andy. Now you can relax :)

Good work dude, nice candid shots, and not "overposed"!

Wonder how a black and white version of the bro and 2 bridesmaids would look? :smirk:
