From BMW to vRS

Featured Replies

Hi folks,

I shall be doing some serious reading on this forum in the days ahead as I'm looking to move from my 330d to an Octavia vRS in the next few months.

I'm looking at an estate with the CR tdi engine , with that in mind are there any must haves with regards to spec, extras etc?

As far as I know ISOFIX is standard, Xenons would be nice and parking sensors are essential as I've lost the art of reversing in the beemer, and I'd want ipod connectivity and Bluetooth, can any of these be retrofitted?

Anyway HI! No doubt I'll be on here quite a bit from now on.

Cheers

Dave

Hello and welcome .

Welcome. Good luck with your search.

If you're looking for a 2nd hand vehicle, xenons might be tricky to find as they're still fairly rare. Your other objectives sound sensible too - and yes, iPod and Bluetooth connectivity can be retrofitted, if necessary. If you want more info on fitting prices have a look at the Shark Performance section on here and drop Ben a message :)

Keep us updated on how you're getting on

Cheers,

Steve

I'm doign the exact same thing. Going from a W-reg yr 2000 330d touring to the Diesel vRS and have to say that the difference in performance is negligible. The vRS is as much fun to drive (maybe a bit more) however the only thing it doesn't have is the BMW's desire to lay rubber on the floor from the rear wheels and try and cement itself to the road.

other than that its a brilliant trade off
