Just ordered one

Featured Replies

Hi all,

after a brief, 3 year affair with a VW I am back to Skoda for the third time, and just ordered a Yeti 2.0Tdi 2wd elegance. I am sorry I left Skoda for the WV as my previous Skodas were both great. On my test drive could not belive the refinement compared to my Mk5 Golf and jut loved the ride, lack of noise and quality of the car. Was unsure of the colour and ideally would have liked to see all the yetis with all the colours parked up alongside each other ! but went for the silver with gobi sand leather. As I will never go offroad ordered the 2wd but if I had the extra cash would have gone for the 140 tdi 4wd. But what a car, all the equpment you could ask for and got the car for £18000, with a very generous trade in price for my golf. I really cannot wait, hopefully mid May when it arrives. Only extras I wanted, and managed to get thrown in as part of the deal, were silver roof rails, mudflaps, bootliner and rubber mats. Was not sure about my interior colour chioce as most seem to be in black leather, and probably more practical, but the sand looked so sexy! Will post pics when it arrives.

they have told me mid May, but I am expecting a little later, after reading some of the threads here. But there is a kind of silver line-ing - so good was the service from the Skoda dealer, he said I can keep my current car , with no milage restrictions , until the Yeti arrives. Never ever had an offer like that before ! But cant wait, only seen one on the road so far and looked fantastic.

Blimey me !!!.....do you mind me asking who your dealer is (you can pm me if you dont want to do this openly) as I have not ordered mine yet but I have a very very apathetic dealership here who dont seem to want to know. I have another dealer enquiry sort of early stages.

Hi,

I've just ordered a 2.0 CR 170BHP in Elegance trim. I got some good quotes from intenet dealers and took the best one to my local dealer to see if they could match it. They either would not, or could not. The discount on list price I got was 16% - no PX, I'm going to sell my present car to webuyanycar.

Have a look on Honest John's site for details of the internet dealers - I chose Autofinders - I paid the deposit by credit card so the whole purchase is covered by the credit card guarantee scheme - and the purchase is also covered by the Distance Selling Regulations so I can reject the car within seven days if I'm not completely happy.

Looked at we buy any car and although a decent price, was aroung £1600 less than I got offered at the delers. I guess selling that way and ordering from a web dealers or going the way I did would have been pretty similar total price paid. I have bought a couple of cars before from web dealers though and had no problems. What sealed the deal for me was being able to keep my current car until the yeti arrives.

One of the things I hate when buying a car is the part ex problem. I have done all the research, scoured auto trader etc, looked on all the car web sites and as soon as you go into a dealer they offer you £1500 less than what it is worth (I am talking trade in "book" price and not forcourt price) Understand dealers are not charities, but been driving/buying cars 25 years and always leaves a bad taste in the mouth. Oh well !! Ignore my moanings !

Thanx for the welcome. I've ordered Aqua Blue Metallic. I test drove a Black CR170 and it was great fun, and looked good, but I saw it again after a few days and it really needed cleaning. I'd rather be driving than washing so I hope Aqua Blue won't need so much cleaning.

Aqua Blue was one of my three choices but that and Muscovado looked like being too common popular so went for pure Tibetan White... emoticon-0105-wink.gif
