almost anything can be dropped in, but its all the other things that make the engine run thats got to be sorted out too, wiring, cooling, fueling etc

the costs involved can be silly, so how deep are your pockets ?

20vt conversion is possible, but obviously although the engine would drop in OK, there's no doubt loads of other bits you would need to make the conversion work. A lot of companies out there specialise in 1.8T comversions so google should be your friend.
