Fabia rear washer/wiper

Featured Replies

The tailgate on my Fabia, which had not been shut properly, (not saying by who, but it wasn't me!), sprung open as I was putting the car in the garage.

The tailgate hit the garage door above it resulting in the cap on the rear wiper arm being smashed and the nozzle on the rear washer damaged. The result of this is when I use the rear washer, the jet goes straight backwards and hits the car behind!(could provoke a nasty incident!).

I don't suppose I can buy these parts separately, so if I bought a complete rear wiper arm would that include the cap and the nozzle?

Thanks

Tony

The washer end cap just pushes on.

Under it is a nut, the wiper arm and a gasket. Through these goes a spray jet which just pushes into the motor assy. ( with the water hose connecting to it from behind)

Thanks very much for that information about the rear washer. I found I had the same problem soon after taking delivery of my second-hand Fabia. I went to a local dealer here in Glasgow and was told I needed to buy the entire rear-wiper motor at 70 pounds!! I will go to another dealer tomorrow for the spray jet!!

Many thanks

Billy

Your OK as long as you can get the nozzle out, sometimes this is next to impossible if its snapped off flush and quite often corroded in. By the time you get it out the motor isnt in a good enough state to seal around the edge of the nozzle so a motor is the only option.

So the dealer were prolly just talking out of experiance.
