09 elegance, bolero, ipod , mobile question.

Featured Replies

hi,

I've been looking at an 09 elegance. If the car has a normal (non-multifunction) steering wheel, what capability does the bolero have?

Can you connect your phone up to the radio or does it need to have a bluetooth optional extra fitted ?

I have seen people mention GSM 2 and 3, what are these? specs or optional extra connectors?

What about an ipod? can you control this via the radio or not? is it just an aux lead? does it just play the track the ipod is playing or more.

thanks,

Stuart

p.s. (I'm trying to see what is included and what is 'look what you could have won, if you had added these extras'.)

The Bolero is the Radio and CD player and also plays MP3s on SD cards and without any extras, that's all it does.

GSM II and GSM II are the two types of bluetooth handsfree kits, GSM II acts like a traditional hands free, GSM III relies on the rsap protocol and is effectively the phone accessing your SIM via bluetooth.

You can control an ipod if you have the MDI and appropriate cable fitted although the car may have an AUX in socket too which would allow the ipod to be played via the stero, but control would remain on the ipod
