Hello Roomsters

I'm just about to take delivery of a June 2007 1.9 TDi PD3. Looking forward to it. It will keep my Superb V6 TDi Edition 100 that I bought a year ago company on the drive. Wonder what they'll chat about? Maybe I'll have a brood of Fabia's in a year's time!!

Anyway, serious stuff. I had a Parrot fitted to the Superb because there was no provision for retrofitting bluetooth. It is (was) a design that was developed in the mid 90's after all. But I was wondering whether the Roomster had more recent technology which allowed fitment of a bluetooth module. Can anyone tell me?

I've had the same issue recently with a works 2009 A3 1.9TDi and although the car could have been retrofitted with bluetooth, it was cheaper to have Carphone Warehouse fit a Parrot. Am I right in guessing the Roomster electronics architecture is similar to the A3 which means Parrot is the likely cheapest option or is someone going to make my day and tell me I can do it easily with a widget for £30?

Any help much appreciated.

You won't get a much better solution than the Parrot TBH, it's easy enough to do yourself though perhaps you should consider it. You will need good luck in getting a CPW installer in the next month as three of them have just "moved on"...

I have used Supertooth for the last year with no problems. Clips to sun visor , no wiring to car, easily moved from one car to another. As there is no connection to the radio you have to manually turn radio volume down when you get a call. Works fine for me.

Thanks for that input guys, much appreciated. Why is CPW losing their staff? The guy who fitted mine to the Skoda was really good - friendly, helpful, knowledgable. Not the kind of guy you'd want to lose in a hurry.

They are migrating to another proposition, In car is a marginal business and it needs to change around a bit.
