Hey All,

Just a quick question with the hope of a quick answer!

My Fabia 1.4Mpi has developed a problem when cold of stalling very easily when pulling away in first or reverse. The idle then drops and "hunts" but a quick rev sorts it out. I have replaced the thermostat and temp sensor (went about 4 months ago) so it can't be that and I have replaced the rocker cover seal which was leaking a bit of oil.

Any ideas?

Try cleaning the throttle body

Very easy 20 minute job, and made my 1.4 stall and judder free when pulling off/at low throttle

There is a guide on the forums somewhere...

Is your fabia the 16V or 8V, because I have heard that cleaning it makes no differance on the 8V... i'll certainly be giving it a go though! Thanks for the advice!
