Welcome :)

There will be a few on here for sale, no doubt.....

Hi there and welcome!

I have had a vRS for 6 years and I still love it!

Things to really to make sure are that if it's more than 4 years old or done 60k, that the cam belt has been done.

Make sure that the car has been serviced with the correct spec VAG oil (505.01 spec). if not then walk away as those PD engines need the specific oil in them.

Try and find out if the console bushes have been changed or the condition of them as they are a thing to look out for.

Apart from that, enjoy the car, it's a cheap, cheerful runabout, 50MPG and if kept serviced will last for an age. Mine has done 95k and I'm not going to get rid of it until 150k+ miles at least.

Also, if you like to spend money on a car then there are loads of things you can do to them, especially the engine, 170BHP is quite easily achievable.
