Diff noise on 4x4 est?

Featured Replies

Has any one ecountered a problem with the rear diff "whining" on slight throttle or on the over-run @ about 60ish.

My car seems to be developing this for the second time! The first time the dealer changed the diff under warranty, i dont think they will go for it again :)

Any input would be great. I have given it a look over myself and all seems in order ( tyres are good, right pressures etc, wheel alignment in spec, boot empty! oil level correct, even swopped wheels front to rear and still there  )

I occasionally hear mine under engine braking in very wet conditions... it's always done it and assume normal, has done it for nearly 75k so I don't think it's about to self destruct... if thats any help?

Ddin't hear it on mine in 40k
