FL VRS Octavia Notchy Gear Change

Featured Replies

Took delivery of my FL VRS diesel in November & it now has 3500mls. Although I didn't notice anything at first, I have now started to think the gear change is getting what is best described as a bit notchy, partiularly on changing up to 3rd gear.

Not sure if its just me being to fussy. Wondered if anyone else had noticed anything similar.

Previously had an 05 VRS petrol then an early 56 VRS diesel & never noticed it on the earlier cars.

Thanks

Yes I've noticed this as well. When I'm changing down to 3rd from 4th or 5th I can definitely feel a slight "graunch". Doesn't happen on any other gear and doesn't happen when I'm changing up to 3rd from 2nd strangely.

Bob.

@A6TDH - are you from South Wales? And do you have a Limited Edition Skoda?

The post title and text say FL vRS so I would say not (unless he has both!)

Nope, but I will if it gets any worse.

I have noticed that mine is a little notchy going into 4th pretty much done it since new really and just thought it was a characteristic of the car, it just protests a little more than any other gear going into 4th no horrible noises apart from the odd "click" type noise when it goes in
