they are ****e i agree and i have regretted the hasty decision ever since i swapped them :'(

thank god for halfords rattle can black if only it would stop raining long enough for me to paint them

ive started to sand down the chromes ready to paint, i primed one this morning and allowed to dry but the primer wont take :(

i think its going to be a job for the pro's but im still unsure on the colour i want them :S

re-chrome is def not an option there chrome at the minute and im not a fan and they take an age to polish/keep clean. i like the idea of white but think black or gunmetal would be a better option :S

I reckon white would look really fresh against the red paint work but you will prob have the same trouble as the chrome with keeping them clean.

with the chromes its polishing them that takes the most time up as you cant just wash or you get left with water marks

and whoever had them before me has never cleaned or looked after them they are starting to look a bit worse for wear, no curb marks or anything just neglect on there behalf. i do like the idea of white wheels tho

ye a mate of mine had a red ibiza on white rims very rally esque looked cool aswell

if i had the money mate i would have them without a doubt but just deposited some weitecs ready for mot day

ye its the chromes that will be being painted the colour of choice (of which im unsure of) :S

gonna need a good mobile refurbisher to come and do them aswell as its easier while im based at work cause it does'nt move for 3 weeks at a time. im being swayed towards white aswell

they were already fitted to the wheels when i swapped and to be fair they've never been any bother!! to me a tyre is a tyre, they all go round the same just because its budget dnt bother me just means theres extra to spend on other things

another steady day today led to me snooping around the works compound and to my joy i found some black paint

which then led to this

now its not a professional job but i think it looks better than chrome
