Hi all

The vRS has decided that it wants a service at 9086 miles in 900 miles time, so I'm assuming that some unscrupulous dealer has set it to fixed 10K regime rather than the QG1 that's on the vehicle data sticker.

Reading back through the forums I've seen people talking of paying as little as

Derek Slacks have had some good reviews on here.

I must say, that they treated me very nicely each time I've been in, even though I didn't buy a car from them.

Right,

Thumps up  to Philip Wilks Skoda in Witton Gilbert.

They've advised me that they'll do an oil change service and check the car over, using LongLife oil, reset the servicing interval light and stamp the book.

Right, I'd just like to give big thanks to Philip Wilks.

Took the car in and left it with them.

They phoned me an hour later to advise me that the car was definitely on variable servicing, witht the right oil, and can be left until February (when it hits 2 yrs old).

They checked/topped up the oil, reset the service indicator and even filled my washed bottle, which was completely empty. :D

No charge.

Great service! Wholeheartedly recommend them. :)

Impressive

Another decent North-East dealer. :)
