VW Double Din MFD

Featured Replies

Hi everyone,

Im looking at fitting a double din headunit into my 2006 fabia. I am interested to know if I must buy a skoda model or will all volkswagen double din units work?

The one I had in mind was the same as this :

http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/VW-MFD-Navigation-SATNAV-including-ipod-interface_W0QQitemZ160416398092QQcmdZViewItemQQptZUK_AudioTVElectronics_GPSSystems_GPSSystems?hash=item25598ffb0c

Wont be buying from ebay, it will be coming out of my friends Golf. Would this just slot right in and hook up to the wiring harness thats already in the car or would I need to buy anything else ? Another question is would this work ok with the standard skoda 6 disc cd changer?

Cheers

AFAIK it will fit in no problem, the only thing will be it will illuminate red instead of green like the Skoda version and have VW marking on the front and the start up screen has the VW logo. You will also need a 6 disc changer as the slot on the MFD is only for the nav disc, but if you've already got one you'll be fine. HTH
