Hi from Skye - +headlight upgrade question

Featured Replies

I run a 2007 Octavia Elegance on the Isle of Skye, where any car needs to be bomb proof as dealers are non existent and garages few and far between. Needless to say my Ochy has proved not only to be bomb proof to date but also really comfortable on longer journeys (all journeys from here are long - 125 miles just to get to Tescos).

As we have to share the roads with huge herds of deer you need a good set of lights when you venture out at night. I'm looking to upgrade the standard bulbs to the new Ring Xenon Max 100%. Problem is I am confused about which bulb I need. The current dipped beam is a 3 connector bulb which I take to be an H4. Yet if I look on the bulb suppliers websites they suggest an H7 bulb for this make and year. Even a Skoda dealer said it was an H7 to replace the standard bulb. But an H7 only has 2 connectors, so what is the correct bulb? Can anyone shed some light on this....... :giggle:
