Fabia SDI aircon question

Featured Replies

Hello to eveyone, I'm a new member and the very recent owner (5 days) of a 2003 Fabia SDI Comfort and have what seems to be a bit of a strange question about the aircon / ventilation system. Every time I select reverse gear with the blower on the air recirculation seems to come on for a few seconds. I have spoken to a local Skoda dealer who says that it's not supposed to happen and I should have the car looked at. However, the dealer I bought the car from has recently traded a 2007 SDI and has said that it did exactly the same. I have a had a look on the net for similar problems and have found nothing at all so can someone help please ?

its not a problem, when you select reverse recirculation mode is engaged to stop the car sucking exhaust fumes into the car as you go backwards. What you are witnessing is normal functionality.

Thanks very much for replying and putting my poor old mind at ease.
