Tank Size

Recommended Posts

45 is the official amount... Take care not to overfill spesh on a diesel as it may well spill onto the road as you take the first corner... As it wont evaporate like petrol, it can be lethal to motorcyclists!!

If you spill it, you have an obligation to inform the authorities, who have to clear it asap. that includes IN the forecourt of the fuelling station.

When you say the Faia Vrs has an expansion tank, how do you fill it up? Managed to over fill mine a couple of time and all I got was a wet foot. Fill up when the light comes on and put in around 37 litres. It's a 2005 model.

cheers

The Jedi filler neck trick should only be used when

you're setting off on a long journey. I usually do it

when I head down to London for a run.

But it should never really be used on a petrol

car as petrol changes size quite dramatically

in varying temperatures. Hence the need for an expansion tank.

Diesel is far more stable volume wise and the expansion tank is only there

as it's cheaper for Skoda to just fit the one tank in all engine variants.
