Removing wear indicators from new pads

Hi.

I have just bought some new front brake pads (and discs) for my Fabia Vrs. Unfortunately i have ordered pads with wear indicators even though the Fabia Vrs does not have these.

Therefore, it is possible to remove the wear indicator from the new pads i have?

Any help would be great.

Just cut the leads off.
