Will VCDS (Hex + CAN) work to read the OBDII data on a Vectra C and can faults be reset on OBDII?

Obviously I'm aware it's a very limited subset under OBDII, but an emissions light is coming on periodically, so I'm hoping the data may be stored.

Yes it reads the ODBII.

The spanner over a car warning displays on the car, but OBDII shows no DTC's registered in any of the locations.

Now the funny bit... I tell it to clear DTC's and it does. Sure it comes back again, but it's obviously doing something.

Interestingly resetting the DTC, caused the EGR to show up as not functioning or not present, from the OK state. Since this was the suspect it will be getting looked at in the not too distant.
