im looking at swapping my superb for a vRS TDi Octavia, my superbs done a lot of miles and its apparent that im gambling somewhat with numerous components still being original.

i keep getting told to look for a CR diesel (i assume common rail) but really for my budget, its Pumpe Duse all the way. there are a few cars labled CR but theyre 2006/2007 cars and i thought the CR engine wasnt put in till 2008.

these engines arent that bad are they? or are they just as tractor like as the old skool 1.9TDi PD 130 8 valver in my superb?

Mate Ive got a PD Vrs and I think its a great engine, a little noisy, but the big huge lump of torque is highly addictive,,,,,take one for a drive,,,you'll be hooked
