Skoda dealer websites

Featured Replies

I have noticed the websites have been updated to show details of the facelifted fabia. However, there does not appear to be a link for 'build your own', despite telling you to select that option if you wish!

Is it me, or are Skoda's websites still badly designed??

Its not you , VWs website is a cut above both the UK Skoda and SEAT ones , Ive just been playing with the build your own option for the new VW Polo - (it worked out at almost £15K for a 3 door Moda with a few options on it to bring it almost up to Fabia Elegance spec , and thats with only the 70PS 3 cyl petrol motor - the new Polo still hasnt got the TSI option , neither does the Ibiza or Ibiza SC)

The polo has got the tsi option as were pricing one up for the girlfriend but were talking 16k ish by the time its specd up to a decent level.

I see , it must be in the models above the Moda then , I didnt even bother to look at the SEL as I knew I couldnt afford it! PS £16K would buy you a brand new Octavia vRS TFSI using the VAT free offer.... VWs are crazily priced nowadays!

vw polo's seem overpriced even when taking residual values into account.

I think elegance spec 1.2tsi fabia's are overpriced too considering you can get an octavia 1.2tsi for not much more or an octavia 1.4tsi for about £500 more

Comparing the 1.2tsi dsg version of each, in SE spec, the Octavia is 18% more. It weighs 11% more. So, bearing in mind that air is free, you actually get less for your money.

i was thinking of the 1.2tsi in s trim, still good spec although could do with adding remote locking.

Comparing the S 1.2tsi dsg in both, it is still 18% or so more expensive. If you compare Fabia dsg with Octavia non-dsg, it gets closer. The dsg option on the Octavia is around £1,100 but on the Fabia is around £700. I don't know why that is.

The Polo is only available with the TSI engine in the top spec model making it pretty damn expensive. VW haven't got the 85BHP version of the TSI yet either.
