Insurance Companies

Featured Replies

Who here can reccomend me a good insurance company for the Fabia VRS?

Getting ridiculous quotes for it! Adrian Flux were £1900 with all mods declared after telling me they won't quote because i'm not 25! I found this quote ridiculous considering they claim to be a convicted driver modified specialist!

My mates who are younger than me with more powerful cars are all paying near on half what i'm paying! It's ridiculous! I live in a good quiet street, never any issues and i'm moving in with my girlfriend and it's less at hers by a good amount but still nowhere near as cheap as i'd like!

All the comparison websites are all ridiculous prices aswell around about flux's price!

I've also declared 2 kids under 16 which you would think would make them think he's not gonna be a **** on the roads with young kids on board. Which i'm not, it annoys me the amount of morons who see my car and then sit on my arse with young kids on board. Granted due to the rear tints they can't be seen but it's not really the point!

Coil overs

Tinted windows

Exhaust

BMC CDA

I'm 24 been driving 6 years come August but insurance wise 5 years. Got 5 years NCB no claims and got CD30 4 months disqualification and an SP30 3 points and £60 fine

I'm also finding it slightly cheaper to insure my car now at 24 than i am at 25! I won't get 3rd party extension due to me being a car valeter so i don't see why the price needs to be so high either!?

So who would you reccomend? Not phoned Chris Knott yet, will do it on Thursday when i'm off. Need it sorted by 30th April

Cheapest so far is Admiral at £806 with my mrs and all mods declared. Why other companies can't be the same as them i don't know! They all work to the same criteria's etc. Even my dad at 52 can't insure his BMW 730D for less than £650 at my house which as i said is so quiet you'd hear a pin drop and he's not claimed for 20 years and been driving since he was 18!

Insurance it does my head in!

i got 05 octy vrs, stage 2custom map, forge front mount, milltek 3" turbo back,007p dv,panel filter.worth maybe £6-7k,no fines or bans though im with direct line and they want £324 to renew, give them a go.flux and that performance speciality lot are a bunch of expensive pi55 takers.

That CD 30 disqualification isn't going to help ;)

The ban doesn't actually make a massive difference tbh. I'm with directline the now and my policy is not bad but they've removed my modifications from it for some reason

Looking like Admiral is gonna get my business. Phoned Sky Insurance and they won't allow me to add my mrs as she's not been driving for 2 years. I need her on the policy as i'm giving her the Fabia at the end of May when we scrap her car

Admiral are the cheapest for me by a long way.

The only trick I can suggest is getting a quote with Bell and Elephant, then seeing how it compares to Admiral and then barter down for the best quote. Admiral paid out in full on a write off I had within 6 weeks.

All insurance appears to be on the increase, i'm paying the same now as I did one year ago.Good luck!
