OEM Sound System warranty?

Dear All,

OEM Sound System with swing radio.

The main thing it is vibrating main door panels from more then half sound volume

On the swing radio it is 15(we have from 1 min to 30 max Volume incensement)

My question does vibrating main door panels included in to the main warranty as can be disrobe as bad fitting none quality product.

Or does it will be more easy to do my self as go to skoda will take time and lot of stress will be …..

Maybe someone have pictures of sound modifications as at he moment sound quality is middle not as good as want Thank you ïŠ

Thank you

I have the same problem, it seems to be quite common. My dealer ordered a full set of speakers 2 months ago, i have given up on them...... and I know that this is not the problem. It is definitly a warranty issue but it seems that it is up to your dealer to diagonse the problem properly. I hope that you have more luck than I have.

I've had the same issues since I collected my car in Sept 2010. Most frustrating was the fact that I had paid nearly £400 for an enhanced audio system, just to have buzzing and vibrating with certain songs, even with bass and mid levels set to minimum. Not much joy with my original 'local' dealer, but finally went to Progress Skoda in Northampton.

They had the car intially for three days, and carried out a modification that has been issued by Skoda. Not 100% sure what the mod was, but its related to cable routing within the front doors. This was completed and, cynical as I was, there was a huge improvement over audio performance pre-mod. However, I was still not completely happy with the end result, so Progress contacted Skoda UK again. Within 24 hours, Skoda UK suggested that alternative speakers be fitted - apparently they have changed their OEM Speaker supplier. Two weeks later, and after an hour of speaker swapping...... finally I have a system that I am happy to have paid the additional money for.

Please note, in line with many comments on here, its no B&O, Dynaudio, Bose replacement. BUT...... so much better than the standard set up.

MAJOR CREDIT here goes to Progress Skoda in Northampton. Huge thanks to Gavin for taking the time to actually try and solve a problem, rather than just shrugging shoulders and giving up. As a dealership, they are well worth a visit.

I would vibrate too if d be a loudspeaker with this kind of music.

btw. mine is the same.

I believe Swing speakers are not as good as we might expect. A simple solution is to upgrade the speakers to some better quality ones. However, most of us listen mp3, that contain some compressed sound due to bit-rate ratio signal that force the system to reproduce bass frequencies and therefor to create this noise or vibration. I ordered the car with Bolero, and I consider the system very good for a car. In my case audio settings are moderate (max treble, medium bass). Most of my friends having Swing changed the speakers with JBL or Blaupunkt also adding some extra sound proof sponge inside the door panel.
