Prospective Yeti Owner

Thanks for all the replies and info, folks. I've learnt lots about the car and have got some nice touring ideas too - thanks Lady P. I never found a 170 to try, though I had a kind demo offer from Aerofurb by pm. The 140 we tried created an immediate and very favourable impression on the wife and me, and, coupled with the glowing endorsements from owners, it can't be hard for dealers to sell them as quick as they can be built - so no tasty deals likely. I shall monitor developments and maybe my car after next will be a monster, but today I had an offer too good to ignore and ordered another Xtrail.

Best wishes and happy motoring.

And to you uptodat, sure you will be happy with the Xtrail - nice motors imho, especially the very latest model. Much bigger than the Yeti too. Xtrail was high on our list of possibilities having owned one in the past....in the end was TOO big for what we wanted (according to the missus anyway!)

On the topic of sat nav.

Living in Aberdeen there are only basically 3 roads out so not used much.

However I have the Garmin Zumo 660

It comes with car and motorcycle mount.

It can be used in any car

There is a perminant mount fitted on my motocycle.

I too have maps but found the stat nav invalueable on a recent and adventure from Aberdeen to the Gambia. Trust me lost in Rabat Morroco by yourself is difficult. But fun.

If you want to read about my/ our adventure have a look here.

Ps thanks for the good info waiting to hear if I can buy a Tangerine 170 :p
