Alloy powder coating

Featured Replies

Hello all,

Looking for some advice/views/opinions.

Had the Fabia Vrs for 4 years now and unfortunately the alloys are now looking shabby and a bit 'bubbled'.

Thinking of having them repaired with a powder coat job at the wheel specialists but trying a different colour just for a change - black or anthracite are the current leaders.

The car is black and on standard rims - has anyone had this done, and if so are you happy with it? Any pics of how it looks?

Cheers

Gordon

I have had 7 sets of wheels done at LapTab (alla The Wheel Specialists) and always been very happy with the service.

I had the Fabia done at the end of last year, just after I bought it.

This is one of the bright race silvers they do:

I also had my Octy in the same colour:

And earlier in 2009 I had my Leon done in Black Chrome

total wheel works is the one if you can make it there, i am thinkiong about going anthracite in the next month

You've just had them done green :)

I think a green pinstripe on the wheels would look good... I mean if you go anthracite like mine!

Hi Guys,

Some nice lookng wheels there!

After seeing Doll and Ad Labs wheels I'm sold on uprating to the Octavia Vrs Mk1 alloys, they look sweet (like them on the Fabia too).

So, the search for them now begins...!! :wonder:

Tas im in lincoln notts not too far. How much does it cost, if u dont mind me asking?

it was £45 per corner for powdercoating, unsure but it might be cheaper for painting

Those black chrome wheels are stunning.
