Hi. New 'round here :)

Have just bought myself a Fabia 1.9 SDI Comfort :dull: TBH I have never considered a Skoda before, let alone a baby one, being used to larger cars like Omegas and Nissan QX's. Anyhoo, the QX has just died ( front cross member practically eaten through by tin worm! ) and I needed some wheels pronto. For yonks I have been telling myself I needed more economical transport, due in part to my changing driving habits --- I used to do a few hundred a week on the motorways, now am down to a few hundred a MONTH, mainly around town ..... so this was really the kick in the rear end I needed.

Anyway -- looked around at a few "small" and economical cars (Punto's, 307's and Megane's) and stumbled on a good priced Fabia nearby. Took a test drive, and must say I was mightily impressed

OK I am going to sorely miss all my toys and gadgets (the Comfort has very few of these) and SDI over TDI it's a bit slow pulling away. But it has the "feel" of a much larger car. And let's face it -- I am going from Ins Gp 13 down to 3, £195 RFL down to £120 and MPG from 20 to the 50's

So ... hello all

I'll shut up now .....
