OEM Armrest?

Featured Replies

Is there an armrest available for the fabia? Or one from another skoda that fits?

im prety sure there is an after market one, i remember reasing a previous thread

There was an OEM armrest very much like the Octavias available on other countries but not he UK. I read somewhere it was standard fit in one or two places.

Unortuanatly there as rare as rocking horse poop, so wouldn't bother looking unless you reeeeeeeeeeeeelly wanna OEM one.

I think an Octavia one has been fitted into a Fabia but it's a bodge job on the bracket front as this is the part that differs between the two.

What he said... I'd quite like one of these.

Any ideas?

I guess this may have come from a Polo or Ibiza? I think the arm it's self is identical on all the VAG golf / polo sized cars.. it's just the way it's mounted and bracket that's used that differers, I even think that the bolt holes used are already in the shell of all Fabia's? but this is all me just remembering stuff from various posts and web sites I've visited so could be well off the mark.

I know that to fit the genuine OEM item you have to cut out the rear cup holder that's in all Fabia's as the arm rest mounts through the hole this then provides in the center console to the central hump thing that I wanna call a transmission tunnel but logic is telling me can't be called that on a FWD car, lol :D

I got an oem one from the Czech Republic from an old member on here. Piece of p to fit using the supplied bracket and the bolts on the back of the handbrake cable. Sold mine on when I sold the car but now I've just bought another fabia. Need to find another.

Just an update but ive found this if anyones interested!

Looks good actually, nice find.

As with most people on the forum though, I'm going to stick to using the vw golf armrests.

I'm also interested in an OEM armrest. Don't suppose any one know if they came standard in Europe as I'm driving to Slovakia in September so might pop into a few skoda dealers to make enquires.

Basically, skoda dont supply the original fabia mk1 armrest anymore. Its an obselete part according to my local dealer and TPS. I ended up having an armrest from a mk4 golf then one from a mk2 fabia. Both needed some fiddling and drilling to fit. You can find info if you search "pimped my armrest".

If i could find the person who bought mine i could ask them for a look at the bracket. It'd be simple enought to knock one up, then get the golf one to fit onto it.
