No,

first service (prior to me owning the vehicle) at 21286 on 3/4/2008 at http://www.sharpsautos.co.uk/ in Newbury which included brake fluid change, Castrol SLX Longlife oil, pollen filter, oil filter.

Second service when I purchsed it by my local garage at 31758 on 18/3/2009 which included air filter, oil filter, oil flush/change, fuel additive? (they call this a fuel service). This at year 3 and not really required

I live in DE159EB, Burton on Trent

Thanks for the info.

Only asking about the MDSH as a backup incase of any ESP issues.

Wow - This is my Dad's old car (he had it from new)!!!

Such a shock to see it on here, but great all the same to see how it's getting on - I only spotted it by searching here for some reports on the new Skoda dealer in Newbury as i'm told they now look after Seat too (I have a Leon FR Tdi).

I just wanted to say that he had a 2002 Mk1 Octavia vRS and sold it to buy another brand new one which was this one and he absolutely loved it and cherished it - washing it every week without fail and always taking care of it. I drove it a couple of times and was close to buying from him at the time but he ended up trading it in with Lawton Brook for a 2007 BMW 535D as he just fancied something a bit more luxurious which i could understand...

Good luck with the sale though, just thought it would be useful for anyone to know the history of the car - Sharps Auto's are a local garage that me and my Dad have always used, my Dad's good friends with Pete Sharp who's garage it is and we've always trusted him with our cars.

Sorry for going on anyway, but great to see her going well and looking good still! One thing i haven't mentioned is my Dad did have some 18" RS4 wheels on it but the Garage wanted it with standard 18's so my Dad actually got a brand new set for it just before trading it in

Thats amazing mate, I was told the previous owner PX this for a 535 BMW and that the Skoda was actually in better condition that the BMW lo (but hey car salesmen)l. Its a credit to your dad. I obviously have your dad's details on the V5. Just out of interest did your dad have any common issues sorted such as the DV vale or ABS faults repaired as the car has run faultless for 1.5 years I've had her. Thanks for the info very interesting though.

Ady

In the market for a MFD3 if you want to seperate?

Hi Ady,

The 535D he bought wasn't perfect in that there were a few marks (most of which i'm setting about this week with my DA polishing machine) but it's one beast of a car, and obviously a tad better on fuel but not massively - It just has sooo many toys it's almost impossible to know where to start.... He's very happy with it, but yeah he absoultely loved that Skoda and always kept it really nice - I would have definitely bought it had i been in the right situation at the time....

He never had a single problem with it, the only issue he ever had with either of his Skoda's was the coil pack on the Mk1 VRS but that's a well known fault with the old 1.8 20VT engine, this Mk2 Octavia was faultless and seemed to go exceptionally well - It always surprised me when i drove it, so i can imagine now you've had it remapped it's a bit of a weapon??

Let me know if you want any other info on it though, but the car was absolutely brilliant - Where did you buy it from in the end? Was it Lawton brook or did they sell it to a different trader to move it on??

From Lawron Brook via Autotrader, I was just asking about any other work as there was only a service invoice with the book pack. It's on Pistonheads at the moment for a larger picture. Goes well but I am looking at comfort and economy rather than performance now a days due to being nearer yours dads age lol.

Yeah i think after 6 years of having Octavia VRS' that was the point my Dad reached, so the 535D fitted perfectly - Twin turbo 3.0L diesel with 286bhp, honestly it's such an impressive car - maybe one you should look for :-)

Good luck with the sale though, it was such a nice surprise to see it on here and looking so good!
