FL VRS Side Lights

Featured Replies

Hi All,

I thought I would ask you guys the question before I went back to my Dealer.

I have a FL VRS with Xennons when I have my lights switched to '0' I have my led's on nice and bright...no problem there.

When I turn on my sidelights it just dims the led's and switches the rear lights on, no front sidelights!! is this correct or should I have front sidelights in the headlight cluster?

Thanks

Adamski

Correct, the DRLs take the place of the sidelights. Your car is working as intended, to get sidelights you need to have the DRL's disabled.

 Thank you

nice to know that its ok

That would indicate that DRL's in daylight are too bright to be used as sidelights in the dusk/dark (not that you would ever run on sidelights of course... :giggle:)

The brighter the better....don't need much of an excuse to switch an my Xenons either. :)

I never thought I'd see the day when one of mannyos answers wasn't correct! :(

That day has come though as even if the DRLs are disabled, you still only get the LED's working as sidelights - the front sidelight bulbs are surplus to requirements in the vRS!
