intake cupra pd 160

Featured Replies

Hello guys!

if i change the air intake with the pd 160 from cupra , witch is the plus in power ? in bhp?

it is worth it ?

thanks .

I doubt you'd see any noticeable positives from purely changing the intake to pd160

do you have any other engine mods?

I have been told this is the mod to do

I was looking at the PD160 and also the Pipercross air filter too

Quite a biot of research has been done in the few mods that I want to do

I doubt you'll see any noticeable gains solely from fitting the PD160 intake.

Couple this with a panel filter before having a remap to get the best "breathing" possible for your engine.

Sans remap it'll give you marginally better throttle response low down and your induction note will be a touch more "growly"

HTH

im doing the pd160 thingy because im getting a remap, otherwise i wouldnt bother i dont think.

And it costs 90 fecking quid!

So best thing is to keep checking ebay?

that will help it breathe a bit better sure, but you need a remap if you want to take advantage of the bigger intake and possibly put a performance air filter in the oem setup,.

im surprised a ''tuner'' hasnt made something similar to this

I have used K&N filters in all 3 of my Skodas without problems - I would highly recommend them.

I have a K&N in mine, no probs so far touchwood....

Previous owner fitted it, had it cleaned and oiled at last service....

All good.

The air flow in this condition in bigger, and when you put from ibiza pd160, but the debitmetre is the one stock from the 130bhp? or you have to change it , too?

thanks.
