Not bad at all  - what was the roof like? The best for me is after a short shower when you get a real even pattern. This was my roof earlier after a quick shower.

(Don't have a camera good enough to pick out the detail though)

Cheers Jase :)

I ran out of daylight before I could do the roof, I'll try to get around to it in the week

I think with beading / waxed finish, anything with even a slight slope should see most of the water running right off

Interesting..I've just bought some, and weather permitting, i'll give it a go at the weekend

2 questions

1. could you still see the 'black magic effect'?

2.did you do it by hand or with a machine polisher ?

You certainly could

Good old manual labour - I don't own a machine polisher

When I get around to it I'll have a crack at the whole car

It's really nice and all, but after it stops raining, and all the other cars are dry, i'm still driving around town with a bonnet full of beaded rain!

Am i doing something wrong? I want it to run off, especially above 25mph

Nah, this is epic beading!

That paint is bubbling badly.

Looks like a warranty claim to me!! :giggle:

 Great image :)

Mine runs off when driving ... if I stop quickly from about 15mph (or on a slope) I get a windscreen full of water from the roof ...

Did you have to wear scruff order to apply..what i've read, it's very messy...

I came out this morning and I was presented with this;

I'm quite proud of that considering the car has done almost 1000 miles since it was last washed. The only downside was the shower of icy projectiles behind me once I hit 70mph on the A500.

Can't beat a beading thread  (Blue beads are best :giggle: )

Strange, a dab of the throttle should see it all fall straight off, easyest way to dry it off :)

My Primera a few years back with the benefit of some 476s.

if you're going to post stuff like that could you mark it potentially nsfw please!

Haha - that would spoil the fun ;)

I obviously missed the fun in being given a verbal telling off by the Firewall Nazis for downloading inappropriate material at this site I'm working at.

Cheers for that.

Ah. Sorry!

They must be like hawks!

This is why I hovered over the link and saw where it was going. Glad I did as was also at work.

Beading is just sooooo addictive!

Let me guess.......BOS or is it Colly?

Collinite 915 as I just find 476S too much like hard work. I'd rather put two coats of 915 on on every few weeks than the utter grind of putting on two coats of 476s, although it does last a very long time once it's on. Also, 476s isn't recommended for dark coloured cars apparently.

Does this qualify? The cheapest polish I could find on 20 year old paint.

The nearest one I've got to hand... this is with 476:
