Name That Screw

Featured Replies

Found this screw sitting on my scuttle panel.

It's small and has a torx head - anyone have any idea where it's from?

Apologies for poor camera phone pictures!

That's the standard flange head screw that is used just about everywhere on the car.

Bumper, wheel arch liner, etc, etc.

Mechanics use the scuttle panel as a place to put tools/parts. What have you had done recently?

ps/

If you go over the whole car you are bound to find some of these screws missing!

It's just had a service and cambelt so could be from anywhere!

The head looks smaller than the arch liner fixings though...

Might be a undertray or engine "trim" fastener.

half of the undertray fasteners were missing from my old MK4 Golf after 3 yrs - it had only been serviced by VW dealer !
