First post so if more info needed etc just say.

I've had my Mark II Octavia vRS for a few months now (06 model) and it's developed a weird soft knocking noise which sounds like it's coming from the passenger foot well.

I get 3-10 knocks intermittently. It doesn't seem to be related to speed (happens when stationary and while driving), doesn't seem to be related to engine temp (happens from a cold start or after a long drive).

Is this a known Octavia issue or something I should get checked out?

If you get knocking from the floor area when stationary; then possibly engine mountings or a broken exhaust mounting?
