Hmm well I just did some playing and although I love the look of it I'm not sure it'll be worth the effort to make it fit:

It's not exactly a direct fit:

ooops going to be a pain in the arris to fit due to the runners being different....will the runners off the standard seats swap????

would look ace buddy

Looks a bit like a tart's boudoir TBH Rob - I'd stick with the black

Do it :D

Are the seats from a mk4 or mk5 platform?

I suspect they're from a Mk5 platform. They're about twice the weight of the stock ones!!

I love the look of them - because I'm a tart obviously - but I don't want to go to the trouble of welding new runners in or anything like that.

Shame - I think I'll be re-selling.

I never said that ;)

yup they are not our platform seats they are newer or out of an a4 platform vehicle i think.

Shame as they are nice seats but the only way will be to weld/adapt the runners.

Might be easier to sell on......give you $50 ;)

I take everything back said above Rob, as I actually quite like this look, especially in a black car

They look like they're from an 8N S3, but I've not seen red before, so either they're from a convertible (where red seems de rigeur) or somebody's dyed them at some point. If they are from a convertible, that makes it likely to be something Audi and therefore chances are MK4, but then you'd think the runners would be the same. You could always find the origin on them, pick up some runners and weld them to your floor plan?

p.s. I like them - tarty or otherwise :giggle:

graft your seats runners parts to the new seats is an option, ruins your seats however so worth getting the bits from a breakers instead. Been looking at fitting mk2 leon seats to mine lately and those runners look like they are the same gen as that (later than mk1 octy)

They look like Audi S4 seats? Not a fan, i think its just a bit to much red. If they were in a black or silver car maybe but i think the black looks better against the red paintwork. Why not get some R32 Konig seats in black or cream?

I think it looks stunning personally.

Just turn them into a 3 piece suite! Plush.

They look like Mondeo st24 seats?

send me a part number off one and i'll tell you where they came from, i quite like them!

are you going to do the backs?

are you going to do the backs?

Yes - I know the backs can be done - I just need to give them and some money to an upholsterer and they can alter them to fit.

So I'm working on the fronts first.

good luck mate.

Looks like I'll be selling the seats after all - I just confirmed that I will have to get a low volume vehicle cert if I modify the seat brackets or car runners in any way.

So that's maybe $400 for making the brackets, $400+ for the cert, $1000+ to get the doors done and rears modified to fit.

(divide by 2 at the moment to convert to GBP)

I love the seats but I don't think I love them that much!

bad times on the cost factor :(

Would've spoiled the car IMO.

And yours is one of the nicest out there, so good result i say.

Gutted.

So lets roll on the silly purchase offers then
