gotta to say

Featured Replies

6 months in now with my vrs and ive never had so much respect for my motor, hand on heart ive got to say this is the best car ive ever owned, coming from a 328i bmw, civic type r,a classic scooby pushing 300 hp this is the best motor ive ever had,in the last 6 months ive never had a foot put wrong, pulls like a good un remapped by p torque.ive had a fair share of hot hatches and coupes but this is the most capable ive had.gotta say probley the best motor to date.

Yeah, I've enjoyed mine. But thinking of chopping it in for an Accord Type R. Maybe this would be a mistake as the vRS has been good. How do you find the Civic compares to the vRS?

ha funny u say that cause ive been looking at atr's for a while,i really do fancy one but really am happy as larry with my vrs,my civic was running 240hp but would have to rev the f**k out of it to get anywhere,i love the torque the vrs gives just press the pedal and go,i sold the ctr to get a family car,and yes the ctr would have it in twistes no doubt,i owned my ctr for over 6 years before moving onto a scooby(u need really deep pockets was costing £60 week fuel)but the vrs in my eyes is the perfect performance family car.although i really need coilovers to get on the track,my mate has recently spent 5k supercharging his 172 cup and it goes like stink,so planted for a fwd car,but thats the difference between a hot hatch and a family motor,i still reckon i would give him a run for his money  althought 2nd gear kicks like a mule in 172.

my bro has an atr runnin 232bhp ye its quick (when you get to vtec) and ye the noise is something else :giggle: but ive had my vrs 3 years and not had a fault with it where as his atr has and getting bits for it is a pain and the price of bits is crazy  my now remapped vrs will no doubt beat it and still wont cost me anywhere near what his does in fuel (its very thirsty :giggle: )

vrs wins hands down for me im afraid

yes agree totally mate, although i still miss the 6k change over, lol.anyway the ctr has become a boyracer chav car(correct me if im wrong),lol, how many chavs in baseball caps u see driving a vrs???,none to me in the last 6 months, they're a pretty rare site on the roads.

yeah got sick of being called driving a bread van and a wedge, given that standard on a track they are a pretty good weapon, does coilover on a vrs improve traction at all??

do that help engine flex???coming from jap background i dont no to much, except vrs and wet don't mix lol.

the dog bone mount is attached to gearbox and once uprated stops engine movement so reduces wheel hop and gives better gear changes

things to do are rear arb and s3 lower braces that helps but you must be on good rubber otherwise these mods are pointless lol

agreed. rarb makes a massive improvement (wish i'd never sold mine now :'( ) and s3 lower brace is on my to do list :thumbup:
