Hi Everyone,

I have bought some Thule Aero bars for my 2006 Fabia vRS and am now looking to get a roof box.

Is there a recommended max length?

The ones I am looking at our around 180cm in length which will over hang the windscreen considerably to enable to boot to open fully.

My requirements are:

- It needs to be short enough to fit the car effeciently

- be glossy back and look cool

- be able to fit a bike rack next to it on the rack.

- Fit to thule aero bars

I like Halfords exodus 360L but it seems too long, and I like Thule's ranger 90 but it's too wide to fit a bike up there next to it....arghhh!

Any suggestions or photos of other peoples rigs?

Too late bought the bike rack now...and to be honest thats the main purpose of the roof bars. The roof box is going to be used much less frequently.

Ive got a 540 litre Halfords Black roofbox - it fits fine on the bars without causing any problems with opening the boot!

thanks for the reply. That sounds like a good box. Is that the exodus full width box? Do you have a photo of it on the car?

I had a look in halfords at that one last night, it's 165cm so a bit shorter which is good.

How have you got on with that box? Where do you store it? How often do you pit it on? Is a 2 person job to fit etc?

I went to halfords and tried the Thule Atlantis 200. What does everyone think? with it in this position I can scrape a bike rack on the far side with t track fittings and the boot opens fully.

Is it over hanging the windscreen too much?

Think i'll go for a black gloss one though as the grey/silvers dont match...blacks a bit slicker
