Buzzing jumbo box

Featured Replies

Couple of rattle in the car these days. One in the drivers door I need to look at and teh back seats do it occasionally.

But the irritating one is the jumbo box lid doing a squeaky buzzy noise. It stops if I put my elbow on it or pull the armrest forward but you can't drive like that.

Any ideas?

It seems to be wiggling a bit from side to side with the rubber bumps under it making the noise. I was thinking of just getting some silicon spray.

That or talcum powder might cure this at least temporarily...

I had exactly the same thing, it was driving me nuts !!!..anyway, i took my mate out in my car, to see if he could locate the problem..turns out, it was my shades in the jumbo box !!!!..empty your box, and try it then

I've emptied mine and it still makes the same annoying squeaking noised. I don't feel driving round with the lid up is the best of fixes either!

Nearly a year later and it still does it but it's nicely covered up the the jingling from the toys on my sprog's car seat.

So there is the 'easy' solution, have a kid and fill the car with many other distracting noises and the jumbo box doesn't seem to matter as much.

I actually keep meaning to get some of the self adhesive rubber bumps that came with the kitchen and put them on it. But I never get round to it.
