Air filter cleaning

Featured Replies

Just had a go at cleaning the cone filter from my Evoms intake. I used K&N cleaning fluid, and followed the instructions included, but after 2 attempts the filter is still an off white, almost grey colour!! :( any ideas what I'm doing wrong? or is this the correct result/colour prior to oiling?

Boil wash it to get it really white, with new glo-white.*

Serious point though, for a white filter you're only going to get it so clean.

The k&n oil is red coloured so you can see where you have sprayed to get an even coverage , if its a k&n cone it will be clean now!

Jesus, I'm bloody glad I looked at your reply properly.......

Agreed on the comment about white though, not sure what I was expecting TBH, I've always had k&n filters which are pink!
