Finally collecting new car.

Featured Replies

After many months of waiting for the car to be built, then another month before i can pick the car up. The day has finally arrived when i can go and get it. Blue Vrs 170.

What is the best way to break the new engine in do i need to be gentle with her for a 1k miles or can i have a little play on the way home?

Excellent news. I myself have around 5 to 6 weeks left to wait.

There as a topic here abour running in the CR 170 vRS. Hope this is usefull for you

I get my vrs petrol estate with front and rear sensors and heated seats. bring it on.

Hi hope you enjoy your new car, best way is to let the car warm up while driving gently, then once she is warmed up have some fun with your foot down but don't take it to the red line just yet, pushing the engine will push the piston rings into the bores and ensure that they bed in together optimally to ensure good sealing for oil control and power production. The dealer will probably tell you to follow the instructions in the owners manual.

Well I have covered over 100 miles in it so far. When I picked it up it only had 9 miles on the clock.

The thing that amazes me the most is how quite it is. I have a Roomster Scout which I thought was quite but in comparison the Roomster sounds like a tractor.

At the bottom of the display are some numbers in kmh which change what are they for?

And above the headlight unit there seems to be little blue bulbs which look like side lights but I can not get them to turn on?

Hi Jonathan, glad you are enjoying your new car, the kmh display I believe has been discussed on here before, if you look at your speedo I think you will find that it only has markings for mph and the law states that you must have a kmh reading as well hence the separate display, as for the little blue lights which don't come on, I believe that those will be the daytime running lights which will become law to have sometime in the next year or so, I think that if you want them turned on you will have to go back to the dealer or find someone local with VCDS to go into the cars controller and enable them, then they will be on all the time, I'm sure that is what they are unless someone else with better knowledge knows better.
