Fabia novice question: difference between silverline and blueline

Featured Replies

Hi everyone, I'm hoping for a couple of tips.

Thinking of buying my first Skoda Fabia (used).

I've been to see the car today and there are a few discrepancies. The ad describes it as a 'Comfort', the insurance company has it listed as a 'Silverline', but on the car itself it says 'Blueline'. Just wondering what the differences are between the Silverline and Blueline models as I'm not sure if there is a risk the car has been cloned.

Any help would be great

Thanks

Layna

i think its the colour same spec cars but different colours

silverline = silver

blueline = blue

Thanks! I was hoping it would be that simple!

From what I can determine the Blackline is the base classic model with a few extras (leather steering wheel, gear stick gaiter, hand brake handle), 14" alloys, and an electric sunroof. As it's based on the base model it has no central locking as standard. Not sure if the silverline and blueline are the same or not.

Also just to add, I have seen similar errors in the past. Confused.com thought my Favorit was a Silverline one which it wasn't. I corrected it when I went through to the insurance company I chose. Some other ones detected the type correctly.

Hi,

the Silverline and Blueline were based on the Classic trim level with a few extras, think the early ones had the 1.4mpi engine, later replaced by the 1.2 12v. Note there are more Silverlines about; we tried to by a new Blueline in early 2004 but they were no longer available although we could have got a Silverline, finished up with a Comfort.

The Skoda web site has a few Silverlines advertised such as My link

Regards,

TP
