As title, I've burned my way through my first 5 litre bottle of this liquid gold so need another.

Opie seems expensive, Halfords have their own brand stuff for £42 with a free screwdriver set or Mobil 1 with a tenner of at £40.

Went for the Halfords stuff last time as it was half price...!

Anyone know of any cheaper places to get hold of it? I'm off the long life service plan now so probably don't strictly need that specification any more, but I think I'll stick to it with all the mods etc.

Boyes now stock the full range of Comma oil inc fully synthetic vw pdi.

If you type the reg of your car on the website it gives you the correct oil type.

Thanks for the replies. Asda seems like a good price, I'll pop in there this week and see if they still have it - can't search for it online unfortunately.

The car was fairly low when I bought it, plus 19 months of running, the last 8 of which has been at 400 miles per week - seems fairly reasonable usage I would think. Probably going to hang on to the car for a while longer, big repair bills not withstanding, so makes sense to get another 5 litres in especially as my mileage is going go continue on the high side.

Had a look at Boyes but they all seem to be up north.

You can buy a 25L tub of fully-synth VAG 507-spec for under £100 delivered from Exol Oil Co. Exol are an established British oil co. (based in B'ham) who make oil for other labels as well as their own. When I was in the motor trade we used to use this stuff all the time and never had a problem.
